Summer Days

When the days are hot and you will do just about anything to not feel like you are melting. Does anything say summer more than a pool and some naked little buns?

Creek Life

 I have said it before and I will say it again, give us trees, water, and rocks, and we are set for hours. Thankful this little girl seems to be following suit. She doesn't mind getting dirty and loves throwing rocks after her big brother does. We had a wonderful night adventuring to the creek and playing in the water on this hot summer night.

Story Telling

We have a wall at our house that is chalkboard, I was going to paint over it but I have to admit it is pretty darn cute seeing him draw his illustrations and hearing him tell me the stories behind them. Today we sang 'The Green Grass Grows All Around All Around' while we illustrated the story to tell it back. There were lots of giggles as we were attempting to sing it back quickly.

11 Months

Happy eleven months sweet girl. You are less than one month away from celebrating one beautiful year of life. You are so fun little girl. You are clapping and yelling "yay" when you do. You mimic everything we say like a little parrot. When we yell "so big" you throw your hands in the air (like you just don't care), each and every time. You dance like no one is watching every chance you get. You are a jump food junkie -- nothing like your big brother. You love snuggling us and giving us loves. You re as sweet as can be but also wild and carefree. The chunky 9+ lbs newborn is long gone -- you are small and petite and everyone who sees you says, "she's so tiny". You are walking around furniture but haven't shown much interest in taking off on your own (which is fine by us). You have three little teeth and almost a fourth. I say it over and over but our world is a better place with you in it. 

After Bath Smiles

Pretty light and pretty little bald girl with a big head. :) Love you little girl, I am going to miss your bald head when your hair grows in.
