My whole world feels a bit like it is crashing in lately, four weeks ago my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. To say life has stopped for the time being is putting it lightly. My dad has battled a lot of health issues, but this one feels different. Our hopes continue to be smashed down as we move through this process. My siblings and I talk about how when your parent is fighting a battle that seems to be impossible, it feels like you are little all over again. I'm not ready to lose my dad, the bond between him and my son is one that I treasure. They are buddies, they understand each other. My dad is a fighter and I can't say any of us know how this will turn out but I do know he has made an impact on my child and me. I hope he continues to pull strength from us and he knows his life makes our life better and will continue to do so forever. Life is so hard right now and I am thankful for these small moments with this little man that offer me smiles and strength through his perfect little self.
What started as a successful 365 project turned into a way for me to share my family. I like to document the little things that mean so much to our family. Our story is simple and perfect. We are surrounded with love and blessings and although all posts are not always things to smile about it is our life and it is the journey god has given us. I am blessed to be part of this beautiful world and know that these simple everyday 'wonderfuls' will pave the way for a brighter future for my children.

A Bag Full of Dandelions
Tonight we went for a two mile walk. Somewhere around the way, Ry decided that he wanted to collect all the dandelions along the way. Our walk took well over an hour and the kid was focused. This is just a small example of his findings. But the completely covered yellow hands and yellow stained shirt pretty much sums up our Saturday. <3
Hello Sunshine
Well fever is gone and little man gets to enjoy some of this beautiful weather this weekend! Whoop! So nice to get out and enjoy some park time together. It was surprisingly quiet and we were the only two there.

Fresh Air
It's been a long week with a sick little man and an out of town husband. To say it is a little bit of sanity to open the windows and breathe in some fresh air is an understatement. Hello spring, we have been waiting for you.

Baby Shower Love
Had a wonderful shower for my beautiful little sister. With everything going on in our lives it was great to focus on something else for a bit. So excited to meet little Quinn. It won't be long!

Help Yourself
One benefit I supposed to now knowing how to open the freezer is you can just help yourself to ice cream cones whenever you want them... He was awfully quiet and I found him in the corner looking like this. Mmmhmmmm..... we had a long conversation after this "incident".

Easter
Such a fun day. For the past month Ryder has been telling me to call the Easter Bunny and tell him to bring _______. One day I told him that Ryder the Easter bunny does not bring all this stuff, he only brings a few things. He responded by saying, "mom Santa come and brings lots tell him to tell the Easter Bunny". :))
On the day of Easter, we were walking down the street outside and Ryder saw our neighbor Kurt - Kurt said, "Hey Ryder did the easter bunny come to your house?" Ryder told him that he did and Kurt walked inside. When I talked to Ryder about it and asked him, "how did Kurt know the Easter Bunny was at your house" Ryder pointed up in the sky and said, "He saw him flying in the sky with Santa probably". Guess that solves the age old question of how does the Easter Bunny hop to all of those houses.
