Best Buddies

These two are the best of buds, they can play for hours and hours together. No arguing or fighting. They both love the outdoors and love to get dirty together. You hear constant giggling or explaining to the other one what they mean. Watching them play together is one of my things I will miss the most about this trip. Ryder is in his element when he is outdoors like this and can always seem to find something that needs dug up, roared at, or chopped down. Colin was happy to oblige to this and was always up for Ryder's crazy dino adventures.

Rainy Day Walks

Northwood hiking is one of my favorite things to do, with not feeling well all week we were not able to do that. However towards the end of the trip we did take a quick loop around the lane outside our cabin and wandered into the woods just long enough for the storm to come and completely downpour on us. :) One of those be in the moments and laugh about it type things as we were trying to find our way back.

... Waiting On A Bite

Horses!

No I did not ride a horse, I am giggling at the thought of it. Next to the go carts are the horses so we decided to stop and see them for the kids. Holy cow that is one big belly. :)

Wisconsin Go Carts

We have a little dude who loves to go fast, so we knew he would be all about go carts. We were right he loved them. He stepped off and goes "let's do them again". Such a fun day, of course this gigantic mama could not go on the go carts so this cute graham cracker loving cheeser and myself stayed behind to watch the action.

Wonderful Week

What a wonderful week with family. We missed you dad, but know now that life is fragile and our today may not always be what our tomorrow's are filled with. I am grateful for this life I have been given and the old memories that were brought up in my heart and the new memories that will sit right beside them.

Nursery Love

Five short weeks until we get to meet this little girl. I am ready to have my energy level and body back but enjoying my time with this little guy. Thankful for my relationship with him and excited to watch the changes that lay ahead. God is good and I am can't even imagine being more blessed than I am now. The road ahead is unknown, and a little scary. One thing is for sure, there is a lot of love in this home and we are ready to shower her with it.

Corn On The Cob

Corn on the cob is a staple in this house. It's a snack time, lunch time, dinner time favorite. He eats it like a normal child would eat candy. Today he was walking around like this and there was about seventy five pieces of corn stuck to his chest.

Summer Sprinkler Days

Is there anything that says summer more than running in a sprinkler? Last summer he didn't like it and would get frustrated that I would always tell him to try it. This summer he is all about it. In fact we go for a walk and he sees one he usually ends up coming home soaking wet. The one thing missing from these photos are the giggles.

Buddy Day

These two go to daycare together and since Ryder is done at daycare they haven't seen each other. Ryder talks about him frequently and we finally got them together this summer. They had a blast together and loved making pizzas for lunch. Love watching him grow and play with friends.

Rain Out

We have been visiting the pool a lot lately trying to keep this 8 month preggo lady cool in this hot weather. Today at the pool I started to feel sprinkles and told Ryder it was starting to rain we needed to head out. He looked at me and said, "mom it's not raining out here". As he was swimming around in water... sure enough about 30 seconds later and the sky let loose and we were both giggling running to the car. It stopped by the time we got home so since we were already wet we decided to cross another thing off our summer chart and walk the neighborhood and jump in some puddles.

I'll Bring the Marshmallows

When you pick this dude up from preschool camp and he is wearing this hat and you just happen to have your camera in the car. Today was camping day at camp and he walked out the door with flames and marshmallows on his head. I giggled and he looked at me like I was nuts. This hat was nothing to laugh about, it was serious hard work.

Summer Chart

When it's summer and you are trying to find things to do to keep it interesting. We have a 100's chart we are picking from and today was write your name in shaving cream. Let's just say the name part lasted for about 3 minutes and we soon moved into balls of shaving cream and painting our arms. :) Oh well, you will some you lose some.

Boys!

When you are a boy and you are running through a sprinkler you have to do it with your reptools. :)

Getting Close

Celebrating our baby shower today was a blast. Ryder had the choice to stay or go with daddy for a bit and he said, "I need to stay to celebrate my baby". He is so excited to meet this little girl. He helped open presents and talked to people about the arrival of this little girl. When the day was over we got to pop the balloons and he loved it.

Baby Shower Day!

My beautiful sister insisted I needed a "sprinkle" for this little Miss coming soon. After the year we had this past year she wouldn't take no for an answer. To be honest I hate when attention is on me and I really didn't want to do this, however the day came and I always hate to admit it when I am wrong but it was a great day. It is so nice to be reminded every now and then that you are loved.  So thankful for all my friends and family who came out. Looking back at these messages for this little girl will be priceless. Love you all and thank you to my four beautiful sisters who put this on for me.
