We didn't go anywhere big this summer, but if you ask my my summer views are pretty perfect.

Chicago Weekend

Such a beautiful day today at the Brookfield Zoo visiting all the animals and spending time with each other. This weekend has been a perfect way to connect and be together for a cause.

 All your little details, they are growing and changing right before my eyes. I wish time would slow I wish I could take a mental image of those curls and just carry it with me forever. You are sweet, you are kind, you have some sass, you are smart, and so funny. Love you sweet girl.

Creek Days of Summer

Talking

She talks non stop. Like narrates every aspect of our life. Just talks and talks and talks. I will not lie to you little girl, sometimes I think about the quiet but I do love your stories and I know one day I will be longing for you to talk to me a little bit more.

Kindergarten

Our last day of kindergarten. Can you believe how much he has changed!? It is mind blowing to look at these pictures, I felt like he was so big at the start of kindergarten. This year has been an absolute blessing. He spent the year with Mrs. Meyer and she just happens to be my "sister teacher" and in a teacher's world that means you work next door to each other and you share many stories, many supplies, and are always doing activities together. I see him so many times a day that it has completely made my school year a place that feels even more like home. It wasn't the easiest year with him navigating through his anxiety and becoming brave in many things but he did it and he is coming out much more confident and willing to try things. Looking forward to what first grade will bring, but very sad this year so close to him is ending.

Stories

Before she falls asleep she asks for "Rydie to read her a stowie pweese". He will grab a book no questions asked and start reading her to sleep. Some nights it's quicker than others and some nights I think he will never walk out of there. I love the way they love each other. They are both just so sweet to each other.

TipToes

Because more and more I notice you are able to reach things and I know one day I won't see you standing on your tip toes to for something that is just out of reach. Your sweet little voice that says "mom help pweese".

... every time we ask this happens.

Sink Bath

The sink bath. Is it not just one of those things that screams childhood? It will be a sad day when I don't have a baby that fits in my sink. Whenever I give her a bath in the sink, my oldest magically appears to dip his toes in. Looking forward to warm summer days, windows open, and long sink bath nights.

Baby Booty

She calls it her booty and puts her hands on it multiple times a day and says "booty, booty, booty". Me -- I just love me some sweet baby booty squish.

Easter Goodness

Evie my dear -- you were an egg finding champion. You looked in places that even your brother didn't think to look. You would scream "EGG!" when you saw one and run quickly to put it in your basket. Ryder your excitement for Easter is something I will always remember, you are just pure love of life from your head to your toes. Thank you for being so sweet to your sister after all the eggs were found you hid them again so your sister could get so excited and go and find them again. She loved it just as much as the first time. :)

Playing House

As I talked about earlier baby girl has a major obsession with baby dolls and playing house. Occasionally she can talk her big brother into playing with her and it is pretty sweet to watch them.

Sunshine Details

I don't know what I love more her sweet little profile or the way the light caught her crazy unruly hair.

Movement

This pretty much sums her up. She is constantly moving, constantly trying to make us laugh, and constantly wanting everyone in the room to notice her.
